Bruder 02042: Massey Ferguson 7480 Tractor with Front Loader, 1:16 Scale

Originally released in 2004, this model is one of a few that started the trend of Bruder tractors with front loaders. Well the front loader is still available today with all its original functionality, the Bruder Massey Ferguson well still looking modern and attractive, is a little dated with no windows present and the rear tow hitch is only a static one, but is still a tough model.

Massey Ferguson 7480 tractor

Long, high square-like bonnet can only be contributed exclusively to the Massey Ferguson brand, along with again, a square shaped driver's cab but with all edges curved.

The Massey Ferguson insignia is printed along the side on a white stripe with the bright red, made from durable plastic body with black trim - and not forgetting the white cab roof and grey tyre rims.

Exterior detail extends to the wing mirrors, exhaust pipe, steps to the cab and multiple imitation lights.

Detachable Front Loader

Sat in the connection points positioned behind the front-axle is a set of slots to fix this front loader to, so they're free to use the tractor as a standalone Bruder tractor, or with the front loader connected.

The loader has an up and down movement supported with lower links that creates that movement, with the grey lever operating the pivoting attachment and not the front loader.

Operate the loader at all times when the front mount is occupied with the counter-weight in place.

Grabber Attachment

Giant multi-functional grabber attachment operates the normal way for scooping or grabbing, but by removing the grabber claws its just becomes a bucket attachment.

Similarly, did you know you can remove the whole attachment head to replace it with a new, more interesting attachment set.

Control the pivoting grabber by hand or use the grey lever offering a push and pull function.

Controlling the Wheels

Accurately steer the tractor in the house or garden comfortably with the front loader attached. Practice will be needed mind you as its takes getting used to for loading and offloading the loader well steering.

To control the front wheels sitting on a single axle, remove the steering rod from the rear, just above the tow hitch, and thread to through the roof hatch to connect with steering wheel.

Well no windows are fixed, its possible to use the other hand to help find its position.

Adjustable Hitch for Towing

Sitting in the rear is a static design rear tow hitch, made from tough durable plastic from a single mould, therefore its possible to tow big, heavy loads without fear of the tow hook breaking.

Always sat on on a single height with the possibility of connecting - certainly older models - most implements and trailers to the tow hitch.

Take no notice of the wheel sitting above the tow coupling, this is a steering rod to control the tractor.

Remove the Weight

The black box like device fixed to the front of the tractor is in fact a detachable counter-weight, there to balance the tractor whenever a trailer is in tow.

Removing the counter-weight reveals the front mount which is used for the Bruder implements that connect to the front.

Well at the same time the front loader comes to sit with the weight perfectly nested between the loader.
