Bruder 03021: New Holland TG285 Tractor with Front Loader, 1:16 Scale

Nicely replicated large size Bruder New Holland TG series tractor with attention to detail with active steering, hitch and front mount - features still going strong today. Released in 2004, the tractor with loader set is still a favourite, but so is the special 'super-steering' ability. We might say newer models have more detail in fact, but this one was built to last.

New Holland TG285 tractor

Solid, perfectly replicated large New Holland TG285 tractor in 1:16 scale, taking on the appearance of the original tractor just as it should be.

Finished in the famous blue with white tyre rims, there's the New Holland name on the bonnet along with a yellow stripe; with wing mirrors, exhaust, steps, imitation lights and engine radiator on the front.

Functional FRONT LOADER

We're sure the Bruder front loader would get the most work rate, and rightly so thanks to its functional lowering and raising motion, combined with the movement of the pivoting attachment.

Slotted on tight behind the wheels on the front-axle, they're free to remove the whole thing any time which is still functional even with the counter-weight is connected to the front mount.

BIG Grabber Attachment

Built in a way to scoop up anything from hay, chippings to dry grass and twigs; with help of the grabber holding onto the load tight well you maneuver around.

Along with a pivoting design, it has a generous tipping action from all heights to offload, with a use of a grey lever or simply control the whole attachment manually.

Super Steering Ability

What makes this tractor turn on a tighter radius comes from the 'super-steering' feature with the normal turn in the axle, along with additional turning ability from the connecting front wheel steering knuckles.

Bruder tractors only turn on a wide angle, but with this feature they can now make a turn in a full small circle, or with smal forward, reversing movements.

Weight for Towing

Large, chunky counter-weight is fixed to the front of the Bruder New Holland tractor thanks to a detachable front mount.

Its big with a far out reach which should go towards distributing the weight, but it will need removing whenever they bring in a front connecting Bruder farm implement to take its place.

Open Door

The left sided door on the cab is on a hinge so therefore can be opened up just as you can in real life.

There're four steps leading up to the cab well the other side has no steps, which is a hint to which side you can open the door from.

Once the door is opened via the handle there're free to explore the interior well fixing a figure to the seat from the bWorld figure series.

Lift up the Bonnet

Getting under the bonnet is paramount to role play, well the time is spent driving the tractor, out of the model they play farmer, now with access to the engine under the bonnet, they can play mechanic.

The bonnet has a simple lift up function to reveal the engine block beneath it, and well the bonnet is lifted up on a hinge closer to the cab end, up comes the headlights and radiator detail too.

Suspension

Along with the powerful manoeuvring ability and the stability needed to control the front loader in a safe environment, the functional suspension helps leveling off the New Holland tractor over rough terrain.

Rolling over an object or rough cultivated ground results in a bumpy experience in a real life tractor, which is true for models, so will help keep one wheel moving well the other is off ground.
