Bruder 04055: John Deere 9620RX Tractor with Track Belts, 1:16 Scale

One of the newest models in the series and certainly one of the grandest, not only does this John Deere RX series tractor feature more, yet original functionality, but it stands higher, wider and even longer than all other models. Released in 2018, make it this model when a new type of tractor is required from the standard design with usual features.

What is there not to like about this Bruder RX series tractor as it sits on on track wheels with belt tyres, a giant driver's cab to observe the surroundings, with a series of steps and platforms to get around on the tractor deck.

Big, long and wide body that is basically made in two-sections, hence the articulated steering, well it still has all that is good with large Bruder John Deere toy tractors.

The name John Deere should attract them, but its reaffirmed with the green body with the famous yellow wheel rims, even within this free rolling track wheel design.

Original exterior decor extends from the steps and platform, to the wing mirrors, double exhaust pipe due to all the power, imitation cab lights and orange hazard light - along with a silver/plastic headlight.

Articulated Steering

One major but obvious feature missing from this big Bruder John Deere RX tractor is the ability to steer the wheels via the steering rod or steering wheel within the driver's cab, but for good reason.

Steering this big toy tractor is manually controlled to help maneuver the awkwardness of the articulated design. Well the end with the engine and cab is basically the tractor side, the part with the rear wheels with tow hitch is essentially a fixed trailer in tow.

Controlling these wheels via a steering rod is a design that is way above Bruder's capability, so steer the tractor by holding onto the cab roof well assisting the movement by pressing on the bonnet or rear articulated section.

Free Rolling Tracks

Designed available in no other big model tractor is this unique Bruder John Deere tractor with free rolling track belts - flat-tyre like wheels made from soft rubberised material.

Powering through the cultivated field or over rough terrain is made a breeze, well the whole flat belt connects with the ground at all times, making for a solid grip helped with tyre tread detail.

Making the track belts go around are the three-rolling wheels in the middle (similar to a tank) of each wheel. Which makes sure the smaller, yellow wheels lift up/down to get over the rough as well has the smooth ground. Smaller, black wheels also help with this complicated wheel mechanism.

Towing BIG, Towing Heavy

Reaching out far is the rear tow hitch fixed to this Bruder tractor, but its still a standard one you get on all models, with a height-adjustable tow hitch with an up/down movement.

Its sticking out further to make it easier to connect implements and trailers well taking corners on a tighter radius, without the track belts getting in the way by rubbing on the trailer.

Place the trailer tow bar over the rear tow hitch hook and clip on to secure it, its that easy. Bruder expect them to tow the largest implements; cultivator, the big John Deere square baler or Forage trailer - well smaller, but still big implements can be connected to the front mount.

Enter the Cab

Big as they come, this Bruder John Deere articulated tractor has an impressive driver's cabin. And what a detailed driver's cabin it is to; steering, seat and computer control detail are all visible.

Entering the tractor happens on the left-side via a single hinged opening door. Well a figure can be squeezed into the seat, the cab is accessed through clear plastic door with a knob on.

You see a John Deere like this one is big and wide, so an additional standing platform with safety bars to hold on to are required to reach the cab door safetly - which allows them to have a little walk about on the outside the driver's cab.

Pull Up Bonnet

You'll have to get the experts in on this one whenever repairs are needed to be carried out, as this giant John Deere articulated tractor has an equally enormous engine block.

Lifting up the bonnet from the headlight end insures that the radiator and imitation headlights also lift up with it - this unveils the tall standing grey engine part, with the engine detail in green going further back.

It sticks out away from the wheels so its easy for a figure to work on the engine from the front with the - the still included - front mount or having a counter-weight or farm implement connected.
