Whether you're buying toys for your own child or others, it's vital you follow a few safety rules. To keep child and baby safe always look for toy safety information when buying online. Online toy stores need to outline any safety information to insure the buyer is purchasing the correct toy intended for the child's age group. Please take a moment to read a few toy safety tips and advice we offer you below.
- Age Warning: A symbol in a shape of a babies face inside a warning sign will tell you the manufacturers recommended age. Usually this symbol will indicate for 3 years and over.
- CE Marking: This is to tell the correct authoristise that the toy has been delevoped to meet all safet proceedures. But this isn't a symbol to say its safe. The manufactuer can self-certify or use a third-party product testing labrotory to pass their toys are safe.
- Lion Mark: This is a triangle with a picture of a lion face inside. Toys featuring this symbol mean that particalar manufactuer is a member of the Toy and Hobby Association and have passed strict safety on there toys.
- No Markings: If you purchased a toy for a child but features non of these markings on the toy itself or on the packaging it means this particalar toy is not intended for play buy a child but used as a model. Again with non of these symbols the items is not a toy and won't be safe for child's play.
